Weaver to remain a starter

Weaver to remain a starter
Coach Scott Brooks said Kyle Weaver, who replaced Desmond Mason in the starting lineup during a two-game West Coast trip, probably will remain a starter for the foreseeable future, even though Weaver was one of the defenders on Kevin Martin, who scored 37 points on Sunday.

"(The lineup) is still day-to-day," Brooks said. "Kevin Martin is one of the better scoring guards in the league. That's what he does - put the ball in the basket," Brooks said. "It wasn't Kyle. Everybody had a chance to get a stop on (Martin). Kyle has done a good job and is going to get better every game."

DIVISION RIVALS

After playing the Thunder three times, Utah guard Deron Williams said Oklahoma City might be a factor in the Northwest division in the near future.

"They've got a lot of talent on that team," Williams said. "It's just a matter of putting it together and guys growing and getting better individually. I think they're doing that."

NO GIMMES

The Thunder lost to the injury-riddled, slumping Clippers last week and to the injury-riddled, slumping Kings on Sunday. The Kings were playing without two starters. Thunder forward Nick Collison, though, said the Thunder isn't overlooking anyone.

"When you start out a season 3-29, and have only three road wins, we know we're in no position to overlook anybody, even though we have been playing better," Collison said.

STAT PACK

After playing 50 minutes at Sacramento, Kevin Durant (39.7) is second in the league in minutes played, trailing Atlanta's Joe Johnson (40.1). ... Oklahoma City is last in turnovers (16.7), 25th in scoring defense (103.0), fourth in rebounding (43.0) and 12th in both free-throw shooting (77.0) and 3-point field-goal percentage (37.4).
