Utah Jazz Roster Report 2008-03-17
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Deron Williams, Shooting guard Ronnie Brewer, Small forward Andrei Kirilenko, Power forward Carlos Boozer, Center Mehmet Okur. Bench -- Point guard Ronnie Price, Shooting guard Kyle Korver, Small forward Matt Harpring, Power forward Paul Millsap, Center Jarron Collins.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Kyle Korver had to admit he might have been too open for the three-pointers he missed in the final minute Saturday. Korver was all alone as his man cheated to help on Carlos Boozer yet had one three-pointer come up short and another bounce in and out.

"This is a new scenario for me," Korver said. "Usually I've got to work a lot harder for those threes at the end of the game. I've just got to be ready and next time I'll make them."

--G Deron Williams has been playing major minutes, especially in the second half of recent games. Williams spent a total of 304 seconds on the bench in the second half of the Jazz's four-game trip. Jazz coach Jerry Sloan increasingly is bringing Williams back to go the distance in the fourth quarter.

"I think it's important to win the games right now," Williams said. "That's the most important thing because we're not a lock in the playoffs, nobody is right now. It's looking like it's just too important. If I need to be out there the whole second half, I can be out there the whole second half."

--G Ronnie Price missed all four shots he took, including both ends of a two-for-one to close the third quarter, but did have a career-high five assists. Price has found his minutes squeezed with Williams coming out so little in the second half of the Jazz's games this month.
