Utah Jazz Roster Report 2008-03-12

Utah Jazz Roster Report 2008-03-12
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Deron Williams, Shooting guard Ronnie Brewer, Small forward Andrei Kirilenko, Power forward Carlos Boozer, Center Mehmet Okur. Bench -- Point guard Ronnie Price, Shooting guard Kyle Korver, Small forward Matt Harpring, Power forward Paul Millsap, Center Jarron Collins.

--C Mehmet Okur was called for his fourth technical foul of the season in the second quarter. After Tyrus Thomas attacked for a dunk, Okur argued that he had been held in the lane by Aaron Gray and unable to contest the dunk. Perhaps stoked by the technical, Okur then hit two three-pointers.

--F Deron Williams believed his six turnovers in Tuesday's game were largely the result of missed calls. Williams complained in the locker room that he was slapped on the arm whenever he drove and hit on his elbow on every shot. Williams had been averaging 18 points and 16.2 assists the five games prior to Tuesday.

--F C.J. Miles returned to the bench after starting three games in place of the injured Andrei Kirilenko. With Jazz coach Jerry Sloan preferring to keep Kyle Korver and Matt Harpring in their regular roles coming off the bench, Miles has flip-flopped from 11th man to starting five whenever needed because of injury.

--Miles has averaged 7.1 points and shot 37.5 percent from three-point range in the 10 games he has started. Miles played only the final 57 seconds Tuesday as coach Jerry Sloan pulled his starters and waved the white flag in a game the Bulls led by 19 points early in the fourth quarter.

--G Kyle Korver played just 12 minutes, one of his shortest outings of the season. Korver missed the one shot he took and was called for two fouls before he was yanked in favor of Ronnie Brewer as the Bulls opened a 15-point lead.
