Utah Jazz Roster Report 2009-04-15
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Deron Williams, Shooting guard Ronnie Brewer, Small forward Matt Harpring, Power forward Carlos Boozer, Center Jarron Collins. Bench -- Guard Brevin Knight, Guard Kyle Korver, Forward Andrei Kirilenko, Forward Paul Millsap.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Deron Williams retaliated in the third quarter Tuesday after getting hit in the face on a drive by Andrew Bynum, then bumped by a Bynum after a dunk. Williams tried to drill Bynum as he set a screen and was called for an offensive foul, followed by double technicals as Kobe Bryant took exception to the play.

--C Jarron Collins started only his third game of the season with Mehmet Okur out with a mild right hamstring strain and finished with five points and six rebounds in 23 minutes. Collins hadn't played in 10 of the Jazz's previous 12 games.

--G Ronnie Brewer had his share of jittery moments, missing a layup and free throws and airmailing a pass after a steal, but he still finished with 14 points and five steals against the Lakers. Brewer likely will draw the lead assignment of defending Kobe Bryant.

--F Matt Harpring started in place of C.J. Miles, out with a dislocated left index finger, and had six points in 17 minutes. Jazz coach Jerry Sloan closely monitors Harpring's minutes in the second game of back-to-back games given his history of knee and ankle surgeries.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F C.J. Miles continues to be bothered by swelling associated with the dislocated left index finger he suffered April 3. Miles said the swelling has now left his entire hand sore and made it difficult to catch the ball and get strength on his shot. He was hopeful he could return for the start of the playoffs this weekend.

--C Mehmet Okur missed Tuesday's game after suffering a mild right hamstring strain in the second quarter of Monday's victory over the Clippers. Okur spent the entire pregame in the trainer's room receiving treatment. His availability for the start of the playoffs remains uncertain.
