Utah Jazz Roster Report 2009-02-25

Utah Jazz Roster Report 2009-02-25
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Deron Williams, Shooting guard Ronnie Brewer, Small forward C.J. Miles, Power forward Carlos Boozer, Center Mehmet Okur.. Bench -- Guard Ronnie Price, Guard Kyle Korver, Forward Matt Harpring, Forward Andrei Kirilenko, Forward Paul Millsap.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Kyle Korver broke out of his shooting slump by going 5-for-5 in the first half Monday, including three 3-pointers, on the way to scoring 16 points. Korver had gone 5-of-25 in his first three games back from the All-Star break and was shooting only 40.7 percent this season.

--F Matt Harpring banged his head hard on the floor after a Josh Smith flagrant foul in the fourth quarter. Harpring went after Smith and nearly threw a punch before he was restrained. Smith was ejected while Harpring stayed in to score 11 of his season-high 15 points in the quarter.

--F Paul Millsap went back to the bench with Carlos Boozer's return but still finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Jazz coach Jerry Sloan is not opposed to playing both Boozer and Millsap together as an undersized power forward/center combination, as well as possibly using Millsap as a small forward to find extra minutes for him.

--C Kosta Koufos was inactive for the first time all season. Coach Jerry Sloan said he would consider sending Morris Almond, Kyrylo Fesenko or Koufos to the NBA Development League's Utah Flash as long as the Jazz has 15 players healthy. They can only assign two of those players at any time.
