PLAYER NOTES: --G Deron Williams played 44 minutes, including the entire second half of Utah's loss to San Antonio. Williams finished with 19 points and 13 assists. Jazz coach Jerry Sloan went with all five of his starters for at least 38 minutes Tuesday.
--G C.J. Miles kept his spot in the starting lineup and scored 16 points in 43 minutes against San Antonio. Miles made only 6 of 15 shots, however, and said after the game that he thought he was 2 of 20. He clasped his hands as if saying a prayer after hitting one first-quarter jumper.
--C Mehmet Okur came into Tuesday having made only 7 of 34 shots in the three previous games. He bounced back with a 22-point, 17-rebound effort against the Spurs, going 7 of 16 from the field. The 17 rebounds were a season high for Okur.
--G Kyle Korver played only 14 minutes and went 1 of 5, air-balling a 3-pointer with 2.8 seconds left that could have brought the Jazz within one after Manu Ginobili committed an offensive foul in the backcourt with the Spurs leading 104-100.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Carlos Boozer is expected to rehab for approximately three more weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Jan. 9. Boozer is hopeful he can resume playing some time around next month's All-Star break. He has missed 34 games since he was injured Nov. 19 against Milwaukee.
--F Andrei Kirilenko left the Jan. 20 game with an inflamed right ankle and received a cortisone shot. Kirilenko previously missed two games in December and received a similar shot after experiencing similar discomfort. He conceded after Sunday's game that last week's shot didn't work and that he would consider surgery if a third cortisone shot he received Monday didn't work.
