--G Wesley Matthews had a season-best 19 points against the Lakers, hitting jumpers and 3-pointers and driving for reverse layups. Matthews' father, Wes, played on two Lakers championship teams in the 1980s.
--G Carlos Boozer battled foul trouble against the Lakers, but approached a triple-double with 12 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
--G Kyle Korver was back in uniform for the Jazz but did not play Saturday. Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said he had yet to make any decisions how to divide minutes for Wesley Matthews, C.J. Miles and Korver. Matthews played 38 minutes and Miles 21.
--G Ronnie Price returned after missing 15 games with a left foot injury but did not play in Saturday's game. Price is likely to be the Jazz's No. 3 point guard going forward behind Deron Williams and rookie Eric Maynor.
--F Andrei Kirilenko (strained lower back) missed Saturday's game with continued back problems. It was the fifth consecutive game and sixth of the last seven that Kirilenko has missed with back issues. Kirilenko received a cortisone shot Friday and could return Monday against the Timberwolves.
--F Matt Harpring (ankle, knee problems) remains on the Jazz's roster but won't play this season. Harpring continues to deal with the effects of a devastating infection that followed ankle surgery in 2008 as well as the effects of multiple knee surgeries throughout his career.
