ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Deron Williams, Shooting guard Wesley Matthews, Small forward Ronnie Brewer, Power forward Carlos Boozer, Center Mehmet Okur. Bench -- Forward Paul Millsap, Guard Ronnie Price, Forward Andrei Kirilenko, Center Kyrylo Fesenko PLAYER NOTES: --G Wesley Matthews had a season-high 17 points on 6-for-7 shooting, including a pair of three-pointers and a three-point play to end the first half. With the Jazz's roster so depleted, Matthews played 38 minutes against the Grizzlies.
--F Paul Millsap struggled after deciding he could play on the bruised left knee he suffered Saturday. Millsap had four points and went 0-for-5 from the field in 24 minutes. Millsap played with a pair of kneepads. The one for the right knee was precautionary, he said.
--G Ronnie Brewer came up a point shy of his career high, finishing with 25 against the Grizzlies. Brewer hit a three-pointer, dunked as part of a three-point play and closed the third quarter with a steal and dunk as well as a hanging bank shot on the break.
--C Kyrylo Fesenko opened the second half with the starters with Mehmet Okur in foul trouble and went on to finish with 11 points and five rebounds. Okur had five points and four fouls in 15 minutes.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Andrei Kirilenko (strained lower back) was unable to practice Sunday and missed Monday's game. Kirilenko has battled back spasms regularly in recent seasons. He hopes to return for Friday's game against Indiana.
--G C.J. Miles (thumb surgery) plans to return Friday. Miles has not played this season after suffering a ruptured ligament in his thumb during the preseason. He's missed 17 games and could see limited minutes in his first games back.
--G Kyle Korver will have to wait a little longer to make his return. Korver said he will cease court work for a week and start working to build strength in his left hamstring and quadriceps following knee surgery. Korver said he thought his leg muscles weakened as a result of his inactivity during the preseason. He will spend four days at a Santa Barbara, Calif., training center.
--G Ronnie Price (sprained left big toe) has missed 10 consecutive games, but the Jazz have ruled out surgery for him. Price has started jogging again but said he still experiences pain just walking and pushing off his foot. He estimated Saturday that he was 50 percent of the way back from the injury he suffered Nov. 9.
--F Matt Harpring (ankle, knee problems) remains on the Jazz's roster but is unlikely to play again. Harpring continues to deal with the effects of a devastating infection that followed ankle surgery in 2008 as well as the effects of multiple knee surgeries throughout his career. Harpring did not join the Jazz for training camp or the preseason, remaining at home with his family in Atlanta.
