ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Deron Williams, Shooting guard Wesley Matthews, Small forward Ronnie Brewer, Power forward Carlos Boozer, Center Mehmet Okur. Bench -- Forward Paul Millsap, Guard Ronnie Price, Forward Andrei Kirilenko, Center Kyrylo Fesenko. PLAYER NOTES: --C Kyrylo Fesenko returned after missing Thursday's victory over Chicago and Friday's practice with a stomach virus and had nine points and three rebounds off the bench. Fesenko came up with two key scores late in the first half after Carlos Boozer picked up his third foul and Paul Millsap and Andrei Kirilenko were injured.
--G Wesley Matthews drew the toughest defensive assignment of his young career against Portland All-Star Brandon Roy, who finished with 19 points on 7-for-13 shooting. Matthews had five points on 1-for-4 shooting.
--F Paul Millsap had seven points in his first regular-season game against Portland since signing a four-year, $32 million offer sheet with the Trail Blazers that was then matched by the Jazz last summer. Millsap left in the second quarter with a bruised left knee and didn't return.
--F Carlos Boozer is shooting 34-for-45 (75.6 percent) in the Jazz's last three games. Boozer's stats this season are not far off his numbers before he was selected an All-Star in 2007 and 2008.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Andrei Kirilenko (strained lower back) left Saturday's game in the second quarter and estimated he could be out two to six days. Kirilenko has battled back spasms regularly in recent seasons.
--G C.J. Miles (thumb surgery) will resume practicing Tuesday and hopes to return shortly thereafter. Miles has not played this season after suffering a ruptured ligament in his thumb during the preseason.
--G Kyle Korver will have to wait a little longer to make his return. Korver said Thursday that he will cease court work for a week and start working to build strength in his left hamstring and quadriceps following knee surgery. Korver said he thought his leg muscles weakened as a result of his inactivity during the preseason.
--G Ronnie Price (sprained left big toe) has missed nine consecutive games with his injured toe, but the Jazz have ruled out surgery for him. Price has started jogging again but said he still experiences pain just walking and pushing off his foot. He estimated Saturday that he was 50 percent of the way back from the injury he suffered Nov. 9.
--F Matt Harpring (ankle, knee problems) remains on the Jazz's roster but is unlikely to play again. Harpring continues to deal with the effects of a devastating infection that followed ankle surgery in 2008 as well as the effects of multiple knee surgeries throughout his career. Harpring did not join the Jazz for training camp or the preseason, remaining at home with his family in Atlanta.
