MEDICAL WATCH:
--G C.J. Miles (thumb surgery) had the cast from his left hand removed Nov. 9 in New York but is at least two weeks away from resuming practice. Miles said doctors were optimistic that he'd be back playing by the time the Jazz return to the New York area for a Dec. 16 game at New Jersey. He suffered a ruptured ligament in his thumb during the preseason.
--G Kyle Korver (left knee surgery) is expected to miss six weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery Oct. 28 in New York to remove a bone spur. The Jazz have yet to set an official timetable with respect to Korver, who was cleared to increase his activity level Nov. 9. Korver headed to Santa Barbara, Calif., for a week of work at a center with which the Jazz have a relationship.
--G Ronnie Price (sprained left big toe) had to leave the Nov. 9 game in the second quarter after feeling a pop on the underside of his foot after coming up with a steal. Price did not play the next three games.
--F Matt Harpring (ankle, knee problems) remains on the Jazz's roster but is unlikely to play again. Harpring continues to deal with the effects of a devastating infection that followed ankle surgery in 2008 as well as the effects of multiple knee surgeries throughout his career. Harpring did not join the Jazz for training camp or the preseason, remaining at home with his family in Atlanta.
