ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Deron Williams, Shooting guard Ronnie Brewer, Small forward C.J. Miles, Power forward Paul Millsap, Center Mehmet Okur. Bench -- Guard Brevin Knight, Guard Kyle Korver, Forward Andrei Kirilenko, Center Kosta Koufos.
--G Deron Williams is dealing with two new ailments. He has been bothered recently by a knot in his right calf and a bruise next to his right knee in addition to the still-recovering left ankle sprain he suffered in an Oct. 18 preseason game. Williams played 46 minutes Friday, 34 minutes Saturday. --F Paul Millsap hit his first eight shots Saturday on the way to finishing with 22 points (on 11-for-14 shooting) and 10 rebounds. Millsap hit three jumpers in the first half, cleaned up around the basket and even served up an alley-oop dunk to Mehmet Okur in the third quarter. It was Millsap's 15th consecutive double-double while starting in place of Carlos Boozer.
--G C.J. Miles had faced questions about keeping his starting job after Wednesday's debacle in New Jersey, when the Jazz trailed 27-7 after the first quarter, but Miles played 34 minutes Saturday and was part of the Jazz's fourth-quarter closing lineup.
--C Mehmet Okur led the Jazz with 23 points and 13 rebounds, but he made only seven of 20 shots. Jazz coach Jerry Sloan was disappointed by the 3-pointers his team took down the stretch Saturday given the size mismatches the Jazz had inside, Okur among them.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Carlos Boozer missed his 17th game with a sprained left quadriceps tendon and underwent a second MRI exam Thursday in Detroit. Boozer will visit a specialist in Los Angeles on Dec. 29 in an attempt to find answers for why he is still experiencing pain. He is not likely to return until January.
