
--Deron Williams revealed the full extent of the sprained left ankle he suffered in October, saying it still hurts "every day." Williams said he would need several months of rest after the season in order for the ankle to heal. He was able to play through the injury, however, and reported being as close to 100 percent as possible for this late in the season.
--The Jazz's Game 5 loss was their 12th consecutive to the Lakers at Staples Center, between the regular season and playoffs the last two years. "You'd think against this team we'd be able to beat them one time before the century's over," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said.
