--Deron Williams continues to be bothered by what can be delicately described as a bruised backside. He suffered the injury against the Nuggets when he fell hard after Carmelo Anthony's flagrant foul Saturday and did not return in the second half of Wednesday's blowout.
Although Williams expects to play in the playoffs, his effectiveness is in question. Williams struggled to keep pace with Tony Parker and talked about the injury robbing him of his explosiveness afterward. "I'm definitely slowed down by it," Williams said. "It's hard to push off. I see openings and I can't get to them just because I can't push off, I can't explode like I'm used to.
"It definitely affects my game and affects my teammates because I can't push the ball like I normally do. I think it was hurting the team (Wednesday night)."
--Mehmet Okur could face a possible suspension when the NBA reviews his flagrant foul from the third quarter of Wednesday's game. Chasing after a rebound, Okur swung and struck Fabricio Oberto in the head. He was assessed a first-degree flagrant foul.
"You hate to see those things happen," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. "I think it's kind of unnecessary, but it happened and you pay the price. Whatever they decide, you have to go from there."
--The Jazz lost for the 21st consecutive time in San Antonio dating to February 1999 and suffered their most lopsided loss of the season Wednesday. The Jazz hadn't lost by more than 14 points since the middle of November.
