 --Jazz coach Jerry Sloan benched G Ronnie Brewer to start the game after Brewer overslept and missed the Jazz's pre-game shoot-around. Brewer had started all 142 games for which he'd been available the last two seasons before the punishment. He checked in for the first time to start the second quarter and finished with 13 points and five assists in 24 minutes. --The Wizards shot 35.6 percent, the worst any opponent has shot against the Jazz this season. The Jazz also extended its winning streak at EnergySolutions Arena to 12 games, dating to a Jan. 27 loss to San Antonio. If the Jazz can win out at home, it would finish the season with 18 consecutive home victories, only one shy of the franchise record it tied last season.
