--The Jazz's 37-4 home record ties the second-best mark in franchise history. The Jazz went 38-3 at home in 1996-97. They didn't drop a game at home to a team with a losing record all season and won 27 of their final 28 games at EnergySolutions Arena.
For the season, the Jazz outscored teams by an average of 109.0-94.6 at home. The only teams to beat the Jazz at home were Houston, Portland, Boston and the L.A. Lakers. --Rookie guard Morris Almond scored 43 points in his final NBA Development League game with the Utah Flash and rejoined the Jazz on Monday. Playing for Houston was Mike Harris, Almond's former college teammate at Rice.
Almond played his first two years at Rice with Harris, who was the Owls' leading scorer. Harris was playing in China this season before he signed with Houston in March. Rice has been well represented in the NBA this season between Almond, Harris and Mike Wilks.
"That's a rarity, man," Almond said of having two Rice teammates in the NBA. "You've got to get a picture pre-game because it might be 25 more years before that happens again."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "Give us a tough team. We have home-court, let's do it then, you know what I mean?" -- Kyle Korver, on the Jazz's attitude toward any potential playoff matchup as long as they hold home-court advantage.
