Utah Jazz Notes, Quotes 2009-11-13

Utah Jazz Notes, Quotes 2009-11-13--It's admittedly only an eight-game sample, but the Jazz have yet to make progress on their twin goals entering the season of increased defensive accountability and improved play on the road. The Jazz are giving up 102.8 points a game and dropped to 1-3 on the road after losing to the Celtics.

--G Eric Maynor was deprived of the chance to make his first NBA start when Deron Williams decided an hour before game time that he would play against Boston. Maynor had played just 16 minutes this season but did see 15 minutes of action Wednesday, mostly in the fourth quarter, and finished with six points and four assists.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "They're a great team. They have a group of guys who know their roles 1 through 10. They come in, they do the job, they get stops. They don't coast. They hold everybody accountable. That's what it takes to be a championship team." -- G Deron Williams, talking about the Celtics, and maybe also about what the Jazz lack.
