--The 113 points the Jazz scored Thursday were their most against the Spurs in the Tim Duncan era, eclipsing 103 points in a November 1997 regular-season game and 109 points in Game 3 of the 2007 Western Conference finals. The Spurs had held the Jazz under 100 points in 39 of their previous 40 regular-season games before Thursday. The Jazz piled up 64 points in the paint, shot 53 percent for the night and hit only one three-pointer on the way to reaching 113. --Undrafted rookie Wesley Matthews continues to shine. Matthews scored 12 points in 25 minutes against the Spurs and played the entire fourth quarter ahead of Ronnie Brewer. Unlike first-round draft pick Eric Maynor, Matthews has established himself in the Jazz's rotation with Kyle Korver and C.J. Miles out injured. He had both a three-point play and three-pointer against San Antonio. "I just have to keep going out there proving myself, making sure that I'm bringing energy every day," Matthews said. QUOTE TO NOTE: "Are you serious?" -- Deron Williams, upon learning that the Jazz had scored their most points ever against the Spurs in the Tim Duncan era. Play Basketball Hot Streak and win prizes!
