--Second-year C Kyrylo Fesenko rejoined the Jazz after a three-day absence to get a visa issue settled. Fesenko is from Ukraine. He had to go to Toronto to get things straightened out.
"I need to get my work visa," he said. "I had to leave country and go to the U.S. embassy and they give me a new visa. It wasn't (complicated). But if I don't get it, they will send me back." --The Jazz got a little lucky that F Paul Millsap, who crashed to the floor while converting a three-point play late in the game against the Wizards, did not join all his injured teammates. He stayed down for a couple of minutes before gingerly getting to his feet and finishing the game. Millsap played 33 minutes against the Bobcats. He had 12 points and five rebounds.
"I feel OK -- just a little sore," he said. "The left side is a lot sore. The next morning, I could hardly move. But I'll be OK I got a lot of rest and iced it a lot."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "The young kid has played pretty well in his opportunities he's had, so that's encouraging. He's worked hard enough to get an opportunity to play some. He worked hard in practice every single day. He's done whatever (the assistant coaches) have asked him to do. He's tried to do it and more. It's really refreshing to have that. He's willing to learn. He's a good listener. He just keeps his mouth shut and works." -- Coach Jerry Sloan, on playing 19-year-old rookie C Kosta Koufos while C Mehmet Okur is absent.
