Although Andrei Kirilenko and Kyle Korver were expected to sit out the Jazz's third day of training camp Monday, both expressed hope that their injury concerns were nothing significant. Kirilenko (strained left quadriceps) and Korver (inflamed left knee) both missed the Jazz's evening practice Sunday, as did C.J. Miles (strained left hip flexor), though Miles returned to the court Monday. "I think it's going to be a couple days. I don't think it's going to be a problem," said Kirilenko, who described feeling a little tightness in his quadriceps from the start of camp.
"It's sore right now, but it's nothing that's super serious," Korver said. "It's just kind of inflamed. We've got a little plan of attack to kind of get it better and hopefully it'll just be a couple days."
The Jazz will play their preseason opener Thursday against Denver at EnergySolutions Arena before leaving on a weeklong trip to Europe.
Korver went for an MRI exam on his knee, the results of which were still pending Monday morning.
With Matt Harpring out indefinitely, the Jazz are down to just 12 available players who are under contract. The absences of Kirilenko, Korver and Miles on Sunday only magnified the numbers on their roster.
