The Jazz improved their league-best home record to 26-3 with a victory over the Mavericks on Monday night. But there was concern afterward because of an injury suffered by Andrei Kirilenko.
The forward left the game in the first half after a flagrant foul by the Mavs' Dirk Nowitzki. Kirilenko crashed to the floor and bruised his right hip. X-rays were negative. Kirilenko was listed as day-to-day, leaving in doubt his availability for Wednesday's home game against the Timberwolves.
If Kirilenko is going to miss a game, that's probably a good one to sit out. Minnesota is last in the Western Conference with a woeful 12-46 record and is only 2-25 on the road.
With Monday's win, the Jazz moved three games ahead of the second-place Nuggets in the Northwest Division.
JAZZ 116, MAVERICKS 110: The Jazz blew a 21-point lead, then found a way to eke out the victory over the visiting Mavericks.
Utah did it with a 16-point run in the fourth quarter, and by hitting all 18 of its free throws in the final 12 minutes.
The Jazz were led by Carlos Boozer's 28 points and by a 20-point, 12-rebound performance by Mehmet Okur. Guard Deron Williams had 20 assists. The Jazz have won 16 straight home games.
