Between a low-tech stationary bike and a high-tech hyperbaric chamber, Mehmet Okur was able to make it back on the court Saturday for the Jazz in Game 4 of their first-round series against the Lakers.
Okur had been struggling with the strained right hamstring he suffered April 13, but he became a convert to the healing powers of the concentrated oxygen chamber after going through a couple rounds of treatment this week. quot;It really works,quot; Okur said. quot;My body getting more oxygen and help to really heal. Whenever I have pain, tightness, soreness, whatever, really help me out.quot;
Okur started for the Jazz and was planning to ride a stationary bike while out of the game to keep his hamstring loose. He estimated he was between 75 and 80 percent, still struggling with his overall agility.

Saving Harpring
It has been suggested by Carlos Boozer in recent weeks, but Jazz coach Jerry Sloan confirmed that he did have a conversation with Matt Harpring in which he talked about trying to save the 32-year-old veteran as best he could for the playoffs.
Harpring twice has undergone microfracture surgery on his right knee and suffered a devastating infection after ankle surgery last summer that forced him to miss training camp and the entire preseason.
quot;For what I knew that was going on,quot; Sloan said, quot;and what I'd been told about what was going on with him, I tried to do what I thought was the best, and hopefully he could give us a lift in the playoffs.quot;
Sloan has talked about doing everything possible to extend Harpring's career, though not playing hasn't always sat well. Asked if his Game 3 performance validated the decision to save him for the playoffs, Harpring offered a one-word answer: quot;Sure.quot;

Camp invite
With Brevin Knight and Ronnie Price both unrestricted free agents this summer, the Jazz have only one point guard under contract to return for next season. That, of course, would be Deron Williams .
But they have extended an invitation to Kevin Kruger , who has played the last two seasons with the NBA Development League's Utah Flash, to come to training camp, general manager Kevin O'Connor said.
