Jazz open exhibition season at home vs. Nuggets
Utah Jazz fans have less than a two-month wait to watch their NBA team play again. The Jazz announced their eight-game preseason schedule today, and it begins on Thursday, Oct. 1, at home against the Denver Nuggets. That game against the Northwest Division champs will be one of just two home games for Utah during the preseason. The Jazz also host Portland at EnergySolutions Arena on Thursday, Oct. 15. That game against the Trail Blazers comes a week after Utah wraps up its two-game preseason Europe trip where the Jazz will play the Chicago Bulls in London (Oct. 6) and Real Madrid (Oct. 8) in Spain. The Jazz are also taking part in the L.A. Shoot-Out at Staples Center where they will play the Clippers on Oct. 17 and then either the Lakers or the Charlotte Bobcats the following night. Utah wraps up its preseason with games at Portland (Oct. 20) and at Sacramento (Oct. 23). The full regular-season schedule is expected to be announced by the NBA later this week. e-mail:
