The Jazz assigned center Kyrylo Fesenko and shooting guard Morris Almond to the Utah Flash of the NBA Developmental League, the team announced Saturday.
Fesenko averages 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 7.9 minutes this season. He has played in only 18 of the Jazz's first 62 games and is just recovering from the viral infection. Almond, the Jazz's first-round draft pick in 2007, averages 3.7 points in 10.2 minutes this year. He has played in 25 games, including one start.
Fesenko and Almond are the first two players the Jazz have sent to the D-League this season.
Fesenko and Almond will be available Monday night, when the Flash open an eight-game home stand against Idaho at the McKay Events Center.
The Flash trail the Stampede by one-half game in the D-League's Western Division.
