Just wondering ... ( Jazz players and personnel answer random questions with random answers. This week: forward C.J. Miles, who is recovering from thumb surgery on his shooting hand.) How's life with a cast on your left hand? My strong hand is gone. (It affects) everything, everyday life. Taking one-handed showers is the worst thing ever. Now the cast is starting to stink. The one thing it hasn't done, though, is itch. (Random responses: 1. Not taking showers might be worse; 2. No olfactory senses were harmed in this Q&A; 3. So much for asking about getting random objects stuck in the cast.) Why did you pick a black cast? It was either black, red, pink or light blue ... I'll stick with black. But doesn't that make it harder for people to sign? There's not a lot of silver Sharpies (markers) sitting around. You have to go find one, so by the time they find one I'm gone. (FYI, Miles did not ask for an autograph from the interviewer, who did have a pink, highlighting marker.) So, has anybody actually signed the cast? Nah. I'm too big to be walking around with signatures on my hand. (Interviewer resisted making snide tattoo remark, mostly because he doesn't think Miles has one.) Coming attractions: at New York, today, 5:30 p.m., FSN: An unlikely question begs to be asked: Are Jazz going to get a higher lottery pick from the Knicks or from themselves? at Boston, Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., FSN: A Jazz W wouldn't be that unthinkable. No, really. Utah has won at the TD "Gah-den" twice in the past three seasons. Yes, really. at Philadelphia, Friday, 5 p.m., FSN: So much for the Kyle Korver-76ers Reunion. Ex-Philly player will be working out in Santa Barbara after visiting N.Y. Poor guy. at Cleveland, Saturday, 5:30 p.m., FSN: Match-up will feature two of the hottest No. 23-sporting players in the NBA: LeBron James and Wesley Matthews, of course. Who's hot: Wesley Matthews Undrafted Marquette rookie had breakout week, averaging 9.3 ppg, 61% shooting. Who's not: Paul Millsap Rough week for backup PF, who only averaged 5.5 points (43.8 FG%) and 5.0 boards. The big stat: 128 No, that wasn't how many years passed between Jazz wins over the Spurs before Thursday's 113-99 win. It was, simply, how many months had gone by since Utah scored 100-plus points in a win against Tim Duncan & Co. The team's last century-mark-hitting win over S.A.? Jazz 101, Spurs 87 on Feb. 28, 1999. 3-point shots: From Jody's Jazz blog: "Who had the most painful trip to Texas: Sam Bradford, Ginobili's bat or the Jazz ?" (After Tuesday's debacle in Dallas.) From Twitter: "A lot more fun when we win! All it took was 48 min! Now I can stop being a craby patty as my daughters would say ..... Now make it 2 in a row." (Deron Williams after the Spurs win Thursday.) From Twitter: "We are going in the wrong direction got to turn this ship around quickly."
